There seem to be a lot of problems concerning this box, so i thought to compile a snaglist of everything together so Sagem can sort it out. I've just bought one of these boxes, and so far i wish I hadn't, which is why i'm going back to my DTR67320 foregoing the ability to receive the HD channels.
- Import / Export not working properly
- GUI very slow in speed
- Unreadable descriptions for programs
- Series links remaining in the schedule
- Remote control not responding, needing to hard reset
- No allocation of hard drive space for JPG and MP3 files
Add to the list if there's anything else you've found ,but keep it short.

It only accepts 4GB and 8GB usb keys so I've wasted my money on my new 16Gb key.Comment -

-Sets region wrong when scanning for channels ie Welsh TV is the default for Manchester
-Loses series links. (--/-- appears in the listing when there are obviously still programs to record in the series)
-Doesn't always record programs it's scheduled to
-Box sometimes locks up with funny colored screen
-Loses disk space (reports "disk full" at much less than 100% for some users)
-Stuttering audio on live TV and recordings
Edit, some more:
-Sometimes when you're watching a recording in the media library and a second simultaneous recording starts, it kicks you out and switches to the program being recorded. You can go back into the library and resume with no problem. I can't reproduce this at the moment either but it happened earlier tonight.
-At present I have a timer at the top of the list for a past program (ended 40 minutes ago) that says "Recording in Progress. You cannot modify it." Despite the fact there is no recording in progress and all the other timers say "press OK to modify a timer". Now the box won't go into proper standby like the stuck timer bug...
-Going into the EPG when watching rewound TV makes the box jump forward to live TV. Has this always been the case I don't remember it annoying me on previous versions? -

HD channels viewable, but SD channels blank (new problem I noticed tonight)
Sound sometimes disappears after fast forward

We have released an improved software version (v3.2.0) to resolve the misbehaviour (missing recordings, unit slowing down) that is caused by dormant series link timers.

Biggest problems for me, stuttering audio and missed recordings/recordings not starting (not set as a series).

I've just got an RT190-320 T2 HD. When I try to record some programs I get error message "past programmes cannot be recorded" despite program being in the future.

pissed off.
I brought a box as a christmas presant and it is constaltly locking up, i have tried to upgrade the software but it isn't working it is reconising the usb but not booting from it. it just goes in to init after press int green and menu. i'm using a 1gb sandisk cruzer usb stick. as this is one of the most common makes I would expect it to work.

Press Green/Menu when the box displays 8.8.8.8, not 8888. Your box needs to have v208 or later installed for usb updates to work - check Menu/Technical info/Product data to find which software version is installed.

hi thanks for the reply, I have checked the box and it dosn't display 8.8.8.8 just 8888. the version is 2.0.61.
So how do I upgrade from this version?-
Hmm, that's a problem. That version definitely won't upgrade via usb, and I've just read in the Upgrade thread that there may not be any further OADs for this box. Unless Sagemcom can assist you directly you're stuck with it.

Subtitles: if the default is 'off' and you switch subtitling on when watching a recording, when you skip forward to miss the ad break the subtitles are off again. Likewise if subtitling is on by default and switched off for a playback

Stopped recordings: if you stop the play back of a recording in a folder then on a later date go back and watch that recording (resumed or not), when you stop the play back (e.g. at the end) the GUI does not stay on the current recording but jumps to the top of the root directory list.
I have a reflex at the end of a recording - stop,A,OK(delete),<,OK. The above behaviour has made me delete entire folders! -

frustrated
I've found it a pretty frustrating experience myself - on its fortnightly hard reboot the temptation to chuck it through a window is quite strong! On the other hand, it mostly does what it's supposed to do - in it's role as a machine to watch cr*p TV for us it performs admirably by recording entirely different things or recording just the first or last minute of something!

That's why i went back to my far superior but older DTR67. Let's hope that the next model Sagem bring out will be a lot better than the RT190...

I don't think you could make a worse product than the RT190, the whole experience of trying to use my RT190 has totally put me off every buying anything from Sagemcom in the future.

I also have had instances where only first minute of a programme has recorded. Had also noticed that sometimes GUI jumps back to root directory, but had not noticed that it happened in specific circumstances.

If you press Stop or Exit during playback it sets a resume point for the recording. This you probably know. But it seems to be this which makes it jump back to the root instead of the directory when you press library. Recordings without a resume point return to the recording entry.

I like this box, but the slow EPG is a pain. I found that pressing the ok button while watching a channel, brings up a mini list of all channels. This this is faster to navigate.

good in theory but seems to have a lot of problems, also seems standby does'nt work properly i always get a picture being transmited while on standby
