By default the handset is already registered to the base.
If your handset is not recognised by the base, unplug the power cable from the base and then remove the batteries from the handset, after a couple of seconds replace the power and the batteries & normally doing this the handset is automatically registered.
If still the same then follow the steps below :
On the Base:
1. Go to SETTINGS / ADVANCED SET. / SET BASE /REGISTR. MODE.
2. Press Valid..
3. REGISTR. MODE ? is displayed on the screen, select Yes.
4. Indicator on the the top of the '1' key starts to flash rapidly. Your base will remain in registration mode for about 1 minute.
On the Handset:
1. When the base is in register mode, hold down the Hang-up/ Pick-up key on the handset for 5-7 sec until you hear a beep.
2. The handset is registered to the base now.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Before registering this handset I deleted all handsets from the Sixty base unit, I then carried out your instructions and no change to the situation (there are now no handsets registered to the base unit). Before this fault occurred I had an indication that the handset was being charged on the base display, this no longer happens. Lifting the handset from it's 'cradl
e' doesn't seem to do anything on the base unit however there is a beep when I replace it. No other sign of functionality. -

Hi, further to my last post. I managed to change the batteries on the handset, I can now register and (have changed to rechargeables) it is now charging on the handset. The batteries I removed from the Sixty are now being recharged in a Siemens handset. Not sure if it is the batteries or the base charging but I think this problem is sorted for now, I will contact Sagemcom if I require replacement batteries. Many thanks.

I'm having exactly the same problem with mine. Only had it a week, don't want to have to fork out for new batteries!!
Anything I can do without having to send it back to where I got it from?

Dear Becci
Sorry to hear you are having problems with your Sixty phone.
Can you please check if you have a dial tone on the Sixty's base ?
If you can dial out from the base and not from the handset, i will advise you to unplug the base from power and then remove the batteries from the handset for 10sec and then replace power & batteries.
If there is still no dial tone on the handset i will advise you to try re-registering the handset to the base.
I hope it helps!
Best regards

My Sagemcom Sixty handset has stopped working. The line works and I can make calls on speakerphone. I have tried resetting the handset, which didn't work (although the handset did beep). I then deleted the handset and tried to reset it again. Again it beeped but the base didn't recognise it.
Help!

My new sagemcom sixty handset doesn't seem to be paired with the base. I have gone through the pairing process, putting the base into pair mode and holding down the call button on the handset to no avail. It beeps several times but there is then nothing. Can you help?

Thank you Vik. Having replaced the abtteries in the handset it is now talking to the base. i do have a further query now though: my manual says I should be able to answer and end calls by just lifting and putting down the handset, but we have to always press the button. Have tried resetting the base to no effect. Can you help?

Dear Raso,
This is good news, thanks for your positive feedback.
With regards to your second question we have already discovered your other post and Vik will reply to it shortly. I hope you understand that we don't want to mix individual topics within one thread (e.g. phone registration and handset) as this would be confusing.
Kind regards,
Donald -
